Where can i buy a catalytic converter for 96 jeep grand cherokee?

My catalytic converter is out, where can i buy another part and would it be hard to install it myself?|||http://www.rockauto.com or a local exhaust shop - much cheaper than the dealer. If it is not welded on you can do it yourself.|||As you are replacing due to failure, it is legal to up grade for better flow.

Consider this. http://www.car-sound.com/

Good Luck|||Should really be welded onto the pipes.|||Not sure where you are. But you can call around to different use parts places and see if they have any. Or muffler shops.|||Go to any auto parts store and buy an after-market free flowing cat or get one off of EBAY. You can get a universal one that welds on or clamps on, those are the least expensive to buy and they really do make a difference. I bought one for my Jeep for 45 dollars and it works awesome.

It all depends if you are any good at working on vehicles or not to change it out.

Best of luck to you.

Gordon.|||ebay motors|||Any muffler shop will be able to help you. They carry the converters as well as the mufflers. They will have to weld it in to be sure it does not leak. Exhaust fumes in the cabin of your Jeep is very bad for not only you but your passengers.
