My catalytic converter is stoped up on my 03 olds alero. Can't i just have it choped off and drive on?|||1. You are probably breaking laws without it.

Enough?|||if there are emission laws where you drive, no. otherwise you can try, but not all modern vehicles get the same mileage without it.|||Have it replaced and find out why it is plugged. Your car likely has an O2 sensor behind the converter that will read in error and cause the car to run poorly without the converter in place. The fact that it is a federal crime to remove it is also a concern. If a shop is caught removing one, they face huge fines
