Where can i find a used catalytic converter?

I have a 96 crown vic p/e the catalytic converter is clogged. I dont drive the car very often so i dont want to buy a new one i just want to fix the problem!|||Putting a used one on (if you can FIND a used one) may only cause problems. It would be like putting bald tires on it. You can't tell if a used one is any good or not just by looking at it and there's no way to test it without putting it on the car.|||wrecking yard|||Although some junkyards will sell Catalytic Converters, as stated above, they can lead to more problems. There one of the items that when needs to be fixed, it's best to buy a new one. How do you know it is the converter? Does it turn bright red, or has a mechanic surveyed the damage. Good luck in whatever you decide.|||Junkyard may sell you one but actually it is illegal to sell or use a used converter.|||JUNKYARD
